Handbrake arms----Help please

Could anyone tell me which end of the brake arm I have pictured below goes into the handbrake lever on the brake shoe,
would it be the stepped end or the plain slotted end??

Not a clue but if nobody answers I can look in manual and take page pics if needed. I’m sure someone will know though

Pretty sure the spring fits over the end with the single slot (right hand side on your pic) and this slots into the trailing shoe. It can be a bit of a fiddle to get it all seated.
