Just back from camping in Dorset with friends including the one in the dub that inspired my purchase two years ago; you'll all be pleased to know I met another commer owner and passed on details of this site; I'm sure he'll pop in and introduce himself soon and wooldfy I should be on commission for this one lol he was very pleased to hear that the remanufacture of the body panels had begun.
I must say though it has driven even more to get the restoration finished and get out there!
Great looking ride!!, looks like you found a nice place to stay over Easter as well!..Maybe those pics will get everybody in the mood for working more on their vans!!...
And talking of nice places to stay and getting in the mood, I think a 'Tripping' thread is in order; recommendations for campsites and nice flat runs for the old girls!
Hullo everyone, did you miss me and my inane ramblings. Well I'm back from our short trip north of the border and ready to do chat . Chloe looks an absolute gem and great to see some 'action' shots of a camper in it's natural environment, too many of us keeping ours in enforced captivity [V], but just look at what we've got to look forward to, fantastic.
The site looks good, I never was one for the type with too many facilities you have to rough it a bit. There's no point in swapping the day to day existence of streets and housing estates for a site that crams hundreds of vans in and offers 'all the comforts of home', that 'ain't my idea of camping. Give me a chemical toilet and a septic tank to empty her by, ah I can smell it now
