Hi everyone, thought I should introduce myself after lurking for a while. Name is Josh, and Im from down in Melbourne.

My previous car up till now was a VW, but have now gone down a different road and have ended up here.

Funny story, I rang my mate Rhett (PHAT BUG) a while ago and told the big idea I had to get into Commers. His respone blew me away "Are you serious cause Ive just bought a couple".

So anyway Ive got my hands on one of the beasts that Rhettro found so now have to figure out how to have my wicked way with it.

Here is a pic of it ( think Rhett posted some already) very tidy low mileage rust free car. Next pic is my inspiration.

Welcome Josh - I trust you will find this a great resource and some interesting people!

The commer certainly seems to be coming of age and some people have some great customisation ideas; daisy-cutter does not begin to describe your desired height!
 
Commers are def' the next big thing guys. You fellas should be starting to hoard em now, cause they are gonna be worth ****loads soon. Just look at split screen kombis, once you couldnt give em away. Just a shame your English cars cop so much rust, but Im in complete awe by some of the pics ive seen on this forum so far of the extensive repairs you guys are willing to do. As im a vehicle painter myself I can fully understand the scope of work involved in these resto's. You should be proud of your skills and tenacity. The TV Detective looks like a bloody nightmare, but full respect for having the balls to attack it. Anyway my 2cents.
