Fun in the Sun

We teamed up with Bernie and Hiedi for a run in the sun today, it was glorious[8D] So where did we go? an indoor antiques emporium of course:I
A nice doddle through the Cheshire countryside lead us to our destination and after an hour or so trawling the tat and junk sorry interesting aged items (not me before you start) and brick-a-brack we broke for a picnic. Hiedi cooked the sausages and made the coffee while I took pics of Harvey's new look interior:)

Barb lined the curtains as the maroon gingham didn't really go with the new seats, but it's still shows on the outside, and a blue Dandycord mat to match. We weren't sure about it at first but it makes the interior so much brighter it's growing on us.
After we filled our faces with food we spent another couple of hours mooning about the endless shelves and cabinets then headed off. We stopped off at Snugbury's Farm, home of the best icecream in the county (possibly country but I don't want to be contraversial) for a double scoop of their finest original vanilla:p
I volunteered to join the queue that stretched all the way across the farm yard in blistering sunshine - Hiedi I hope you realise I got sunstroke for you cornet;)
A nice relaxing day out under clear blue skies[8D]

How refreshing

Hi Panky,

The new look interior looks really nice and does show as nice and bright in the pics [8D]

Having lived in Devon for a while as a child I'd love to try this Snugburys offering to compare it :p

Looking very nice indeed[8D][8D] ...best ice-cream I have had was in Scotland...we stopped at a small 'Bee' farm or Honey farm and they had homemade honey ice cream[8D]

I must admit the best I've ever had is Cadwalladers from Criccieth in north Wales. For years they had the one shop and only did vanilla, but now they seem to have gone 'global' with shops seemingly everywhere in Wales an produce dozens of flavours - the original is still best though[8D]

How refreshing

As much as I like to be adventurous with my ice cream - Rose flavour being a memorable one, nothing beats a quality vanilla!!

Norfolk ice cream is very good so good I believe it got an award :p

Harvey's new interior looks great :) especially love the seats :D

Sounds like you had a fab day! Cant beat a good ice cream - our fave is Mr Moos at Skipsea East Yorkshire![8D]

Sounds more like a fashion show with "blue gingham and blue dandycord to match" and the ice cream, sorry you're all wrong the best is definitely rum and raisin at Cap d'Agde southern France.

Dorset is famous for its 'Purbeck' ice cream.....personally I don't see what all the fuss is about...not my fave for sure, although the ginger is fairly nice........Harvey does look rather nice though:D

An excellent day was had by all, Harvey & Gladys behaved as usual despite the roaring tempratures reached in the Cheshire country side. :p

Heidi managed to find some 70's curtain material identical to the ones in Gladys :D.

:p and the Icecream finished off the perfect day :p

Thanks John & Barbs [^]
