Fontaine where are you ???

Hi Jon, just had a call from Dave saying he found you broken down on a roundabout near the A1. Have you got to your destination yet - are you taking cake??? Was it the weight of the cake that caused the overheating I wonder :I:I

Dave said he didn't dare come home and tell me he had passed a Commer in distress at the side of the road without stopping :D:D:D too right.

Hope you are both ok.

Come on Debs, of course he broke down, and yes it was the weight of cake :D:p;)

We are back!!

As panky says, Fonty hates the journey! I think its because Uncle Tim hates the Pinto engine!!

Fonty got a bit hot under the collar as per usual. We pulled over after a massive wave o heat singed our arm hairs and found that a pipe had come of the oil cooler. We reattached it and then I walked to the garage a few metres away to fill up some bottles with water.

Dave, upon knowing instructions from deb stopped as he was passing to offer us some help! It was great to meet you again, and just confirms why the Commer is so close to our hearts- it's as much the people that it has allowed us to meet as it is about the van!

The cake was good -

The barn was better. The tikka wraps came a very close second though ;)

We helped get some insulation started in the barn and are both now sat at home with itchy fibreglass itches!

En route home Fontaine was an absolute JOY. And of course, with it being fontaine, there is always a BUT. But, 1 mile from home, after deciding we would wait until the morning to fill up - we slowed to a stop! Still,it was human error rather than mechanical so we are chuffed with her run out. Fonty is off to see Bobby tomorrow, fingers crossed he is as well behaved!
