Fluted Side Panel, replacement

I will be attempting to sort out the fluted side panels on my van in the next week or two and I was wondering if anyone had any photos of them being removed / replaced, also, Is it possible to remove the fluted panel without the lower side panel being removed from the van?

I do not have the van anywhere near me to pop out and have a look!

The best way seems to be to cut the old panel away just below the body joint and weld the new panel to it so as not to diturb the original joint. Fine if the top of the old panel is OK but you would be very unlucky if it was completely rotten, while it's off you can do any repairs to the inner cill.
