First outing

Had our first outing over the weekend on the Ipswich transport museum run. Beautiful weather and about 300 plus vehicles in attendance. Several V.W campers, a Sherpa, and a Bedford c.f. Felt very proud driving Betsy-Anne resplendent in her new paint. She was the only Commer there, and was much admired. She ran perfectly. When we all parked up at the sea front for the public to ooh and ahh at, many photos were taken of her. We ended up celebrating a mates birthday in the back , tea, sandwiches and cake.At one point we actually had seven people in the back ! A great day ! :D

Excellent, showing the others how it's done. Get used to it, people absolutely love them:D
Big bonus not having any problems too;)

Certainly not the vehicle for the shy retiring type ! The comments ranged from " just look how much space there is" to "Oh my god , i want one " Funniest was from a teenager who remarked to his dad " Dad , its all smashed up in there" he was commenting on the inside of the cab , with no carpet, door cards and not much of anything trim wise either. I didnt get the chance to tell him the van wasnt finished

Sounds brilliant. I'm bursting at the seams to get out in mine. I think doing a bit then going out a bit and so on is an excellent way of doing it. As soon as mine is mot'd I will do exactly the same except mine will look like just as bad on the outside as the inside hehe :D

I'm hopefully taking him in for his mot this month so if all goes well we will be taking him on a few shakedown runs.
