hi all. well what can i say i have finally driven homer i got his water works sorted out at last and a couple of petrol leaks and he was ready , so took him a couple of miles for a shake down would of gone further but couldnt remember if i had tightened up the wheel nuts or not !! well its certainly an experience driving a commer will i always feel sea sick or do you get used to the ride after a while ? mot is booked in for sat so watch out for another on a road near you

Had my last one (Dodge) for over 7 years and never once felt seasick although she did do a bit of bobbing and weaving when there was a strong wind blowing but I was concentrating so much on keeping her at an even keel that I didn't get time to think about being seasick.
 
I don't notice this any more.....I have learned to slow down......and relaaaax. "you are never in a hurry in a Commer!". The first time you take a roundabout too fast will soon learn you. Lol. Welcome to the wonderful world of commers
 
I love driving my Commer as it's totally different to anything else i drive ;). It's a bit wallowy, steering can be vague to say the least,the brakes are wooden but do stop you when you put enough weight on the pedal and it's susseptable to sidewinds(as i found out yesterday).BUT its more comfortable to drive than a Mercedes Vito [V][V](only my opinion,but i just can't get comfortable in the vans at work).
All in all, COMMERS are a lot of fun and need to be driven.:p:p:p;)

back to my "rootes"
 
Never mind the sleeping policemen, with the brakes on the commer it's a brave live policeman who has the nerve to step out in front of you expecting you to stop when they are doing what they call a routine check. We should really keep a tally on here of how many near misses.

I had a near miss going too fast onto a rounabout so can vouch for that!not sure how I made it!

We have a lot of gravel roads over here and i have always been surprised how well the commer handles on the loose stuff. It will power slide quite well! Roundabouts can be fun though. Yes it will go up on two wheels which is REALLY scarey! New trousers time :0

Well...alright then, maybe just a little...
