yeh it was horrible but on the plus side i had to get back for a full day of welding on my friends t25 so it was ok!just want to crack on with it now.
i will post a thread up in gallery when she arrives

just kidding but I would of taken a grinder to the T25 in frustration at not getting the Commer lol ....another sleepless night tonight then:D at least tonight will be an hour shorter.......hope it all goes well for you tommorrow:)

she's back.i know she had a niggle....
when she's running she's fine but if she stalls she won't start up again?and the in line fuel filter is empty?its fine when running with good fuel flow but the moment she conks out she won't go again?....help?
 
Check all your fuel lines are tightened properly, if shes drawing in air from a loose clip that can cause fuel starvation, I do remember your dad having a problem with the fuel pump many moons ago and if the seals or diaghram is leaking that will cause the fuel to drain back to the tank and likely cause an airlock, it could also be a fuel vapour lock where the engine runs fine until its switched of or stalls and then it vapourlocks and will not restart until the engine cools down which is usually around 20-30 mins.
It could be the paint inside the tank flaking off and blocking the fuel line but I would check the other stuff first.
Another thought, has it got an electric fan fitted, if so use it to keep the engine cool especially in traffic when vapourisation is likely to occur.

cheers alan will check all the clips tomorrow.i checked the line to the pump and doesn't seem to be blocked.just taken the fuel pump apart to find its had a new rebuild but there are no filters in there at all?would this cause it?it does pump through the other side but not at a great speed!
no leaks on the pump when its all assembled either.
haven't had the chance to have it in traffic yet alan!i got 1 foot of the trailer thats it!!
 
There should be a filter in the pump but it would not stop it working if its missing, it should however pump through quite quickly at a pressure of 2lbs p/square inch.
I would be a bit concerned if someone else has stripped and " repaired " the pump because you dont know if they have done it properly and if they have not put the filter back in what else have they missed?
I should have a spare pump when the Jennings comes back, I may have a new one down the barn, and I can soon send it over to you if you want to try it.

Check the diaphragm very carefully, if it's split fuel will dribble into the sump[xx(]

Alan when are you getting the Jennings back? I think ive found the problem.one of the valves look to be cracked on top and slightly bent in.would this do it?
 
Aus why are`nt you at work or have you gone it alone now?
The valve in the pump should not be bent and if it is will allow fuel to drain back to the tank and fail to allow fuel to be drawn back up to the pump properly.
Not sure when the Jennings is back, hopefully in the next couple of days.
