I'm in Warrington mate but travel to Scotland every few weeks and 1 of my employees is up there every week and drives up from Warrington. I normally go to Edinburgh and stay near the forth road bridge then continue up to Perth. Let me know if any of that is convenient or you. I'm actually going up tomorrow and again around 30th Aug.
