Drivers door lock

The lock and mechanism on the drivers door is not working correctly and I think it needs replacing. If anyone has any advice or a lock etc for sale please let me know. Thanks

I recently had my door cards off to put different ones on & had problems opening locking un-locking etc afterwards,just wound the window down & played about until it work properly,save's keep going in through the back doors,climbing over...have your handle off inside of your door(the one that locks & unlocks from inside) & play with the position you will know when it is right cos it will work properly I think mine clicked when I got it right.didn't take long to do either

Are you having any trouble with key or barrel or is it more to do with either not catching or not opening when you push button in on outside?
 
Hi Kes, it locks and unlocks fine but won't catch properly and the door swung open when I went around a bend the other day!
 
Ha,Ha,welcome to the wonderfull world of commereality!ha ha!!think we already had the door swinging action & keeping passengers on their toes topic.Hope you get it sorted ok though.
 
That is definitely a commer thing, just because they are slower doesn't mean you don't still get a thrill a minute - Bessie has only done it a couple of times but old van Martha was pretty bad for it. If Chris' suggestion of tinkering doesn't help, you could try a piece of string tied to the passenger door[}:)] Couldn't say if you would be any better off with new lock - may just do the same thing. Give it a good 3-in-one oiling and a work out to see if it is free moving, this should either make it close better or fly open with more dramatic flair!
 
Hi Martin, I am not really sure what part is broken as all I know is that the door keeps swinging open.
