Halfords £14.99 - part of their "professional" range, kept in the locked cabinets at our local store. TBH I don't think this one will last much longer, it is already starting to show signs of wear and tear, but that's what commers do to tools!
 
thanks for the advice guys and gals - it was molegrips on a big screwdriver and a bit of heat - coupled with a cheeky bit of tightening did the trick on all the screws in the end.
