hi guys i can turn the key in my drivers door knod and push it in but it does not release the door i can only open it from inside,any ideas[?]

I recently had my door cards off to put different ones on & had problems opening locking un-locking etc afterwards,just wound the window down & played about until it work properly,save's keep going in through the back doors,climbing over...have your handle off inside of your door(the one that locks & unlocks from inside) & play with the position you will know when it is right cos it will work properly :I I think mine clicked when I got it right.didn't take long to do either
don't forget to wind the window down,so long as you wont break it! I just need to deal with the passenger one now [^]
From what I can remember there is a piece that sticks out from the back of the push button that pushes against the lock assembly. This may have been bent or corroded away or us simply missaligned. The only way of knowing for sure is to remove the door card, take of the push button and have a look.
