Door lock brand

Hi everyone,

I know that door locks are a bit of an issue in that they are hard to come by. I wondered if anyone knows what brand of lock were used? From looking at pics online I wonder if they are Wilmot Breeden.

In the back of my mind is the idea that lock barrels might be scavenged from parts for other cars. Many thanks in advance!

Alas Martin only has a rear lock, at the moment a local lock firm are trying to make an impression from my current locks but in case that doesn’t work I was wondering about alternatives. I have bought some other stuff from speedy spares, they didn’t list a lock but I could drop them an email.

It's pretty certain that the barrels were WM as they supplied just about every other British manufacturer in the 60's. The handles themselves are rare though and they command high prices as they were used on some Lotus models.

Thanks for the info, just to check by WM you mean Wilmot-Breeden?

So if anyone else has this issue, Speedy Spares has barrels+keys for hinged doors, for sliding doors the lock assembly and barrels and keys and also the rear door handle with barrels and keys. This isn’t on their website so worth ringing/emailing.
