Was watching holby city last night, for some reason it was based in Ukraine.
There was a van that looked like a commer on there, with side opening doors. It did look like the suspension was jacked up! Crazy fools.

I'd say that a Uaz (pronounced 'wazz' I'm told) was the most likely, I was out in the Ukraine a couple of years back and they were everywhere. Quite a nice looking van IMHO. There was a fairly wide range of spec that I saw, but all very basic, I think the origins of this vehicle were military.
