Clutch pressure plate specifications

Iv got my clutch out and I would like to double check how far the fork/pressure plate should move. Before buying a new one, the old one might be ok.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

The fork only moves about half an inch at the slave cylinder end so a lot less than that at the bearing. It looks like you pressure plate has been in a long time so for peace of mind I would change it along with the friction plate. As for the bearing, if you can get one, fit an MGB roller type instead of the carbon thrust. The fork needs to be opened up about a millimeter but it'd well worth the effort.

Thanks again panky. You seem to be the Guro on these things. Due to budget, cleaned up clutch, tested on hydraulic press and seem to move ok. Got the slave, resleeved. All works!! We shall see what it’s like when I get it moving but a “dry” run, it’s working

Sounds like a plan, it should be fine.
Harvey was still running with his clutch like this so I think you'll be OK. The centre boss on the pressure plate was worn and flopping about too, I thought the reason it was slipping was oil on the friction plate
