Cigarette lighter light staying on.

When i start my commer the cigarette lighters light is staying on. There is nothing in the unit. Is there a short or could it be a loose wirer.

Probably not wired separately and just comes on with the ignition. If it has a bulb holder, wire that to the side lights or dash lights.

could be an 'earth' issue, make sure it has a permanant earth wire attached and is not just earthed when ignition on! my first van had this issue and it used to drain the battery.....
