Hi Koji, welcome to the forum.
In answer to your question, the chassis number should be punched into the vehicle data plate which should be above the step as you get into the vehicle, check both sides, incase its been moved.
I have a workshop manual which covers the ``Commer,Dodge & Fargo`` Light Van Models.
In the FOREWORD part of the manual its gives out information on what each letter of the chassis number denotes. eg engine capacity and high or low compression, etc. hope this helps.

Thanks for reply gary.

i had good look at my commers both sides of door step, leg loom, wheel well and under seat. also give a good polish then put wax on around that area [^] .

still can't find any punch / plate thing on my commer [V]

is possible to have on underneath ?
