Never driven any real exotica except for a blast in a Porsche 911 - it was quick but it didn't make me want one. I guess the most memorable driving experience I've had was in a beat up Mk2 Escort rally car on one of those experience days. No frills, no comfort all about going fast over a field and pure adrenaline - I do want one[8D]

Was lucky enough to do a couple Palmer days through work, 7 amazing race cars in a day and told to hammer it full pelt from M3 race stripped motors right down to single seater Formula cars. Incredible days and everyone should try it once, the Caterham won hands down though for sheer fun.

I have a MK1 Escort in storage at the moment while we keep traveling in the Commer, The Escort is immaculate original and a fun car, but for reliability and durability it would have to be my 79 Volvo:I that i have owned for 25years and i have driven 650,000[:0] kilometers without a single breakdown. Hard to believe, I know.Hi Mileages are easy to clock up in Aust.
Sure its had some mech problems over the years but it always seems to get you there.
Hard to admit your daily is a Volvo[8)].

The best car I ever had was my 1975 Range Rover. It was my everyday drive used for work and play I had it between 1985 to 1997 and it just kept going. Yes it was on the 3rd motor and 2 gearbox/transfer case but the rest was original. It had 120,000km (75,000mls)on the clock when I bought her and in the next 12 years I covered around 750,000km (465,000mls) all over Country NSW and Queensland. Only once did it let me down when the thrust shims in the transfer case wore too thin and dropped out, but that was fixed in a few hours when I got her home and off we went again.
A close second was my trusty 1980 Datsun Sunny Wagon, which has only recently been retired. Though no longer doing the outback work I still managed to clock up around 450,000km (280,000mls)in the last 12 years. Far from glamorous, but extremely functional, simple as well as cheap to run and maintain.

I haven't had much to shout about but but one motor I'll never forget was our 2000 Subaru impreza turbo, (we had the family wagon one) and [:0] !!!
It was only standard but man did it put a smile on ya face for not to much money god knows what they're like when they've been uprated!

Best motor I've had was my Bugatti veron.......... Man that was a beaut not sure what happened to it coz I woke up ..... Luckily when I looked out the window I still had my supercharged v8 spacevan and for the smile on ya face while driving it takes some beating
