Been Hooked, Now need one.

Hi all, new to this site, and no i don't have a van,,,,, YET.

I'm a classic man when it comes to cars and the like and have owned a 2 door Mk1 escort for 13 years now. I took it of the road recently and am halfway through a complete resto on it.
Payed £200 and have been offered just recently £2500, and at that time it had no floor or chassis as i had removed them to replace. Mad.
Anyway never really been into vans, don't like the VW's but then an old school friend said he had just bought a Commer camper pop top, i couldn't picture it so popped round to have a look and then it happened.
Not sure why or what made it happen but i just fell in love with the look of the Van.
He payed just under £800, from the look of it he got a bargain, just small amounts welding, nothing structual, a few dents, but its all there and he drove it back from Wolverhampton to near Cambridge where we live with only a couple of small issue's
So here i am, hooked on getting one, but not going to rush, i need to find one with not to much to do to it cos i have to finish the escort.
So if any pop up be sure to let me know

Well your in the right place Stephen. They do crop up a fair bit so keep your eyes on here. Most e-bay vans make their way here very quickly as folk search for them regularly;-) i see where you are coming from on the hooked thing. That's just what they do to you i'm afraid HAHA, They render you useless. Even worse once you own one. Welcome abroad by the way.

Sorry about that we get all excited about new members. Looks like Commers chose you so the one for you will come along eventually, but I'm afraid you need to be patient - there are some who have been patient for a long time but don't give up - it will be worth the wait. You friend seems to have been lucky and paid a good price but there are some over-priced vans out there so be careful. By the sound of it you are experienced enough not to need such basic advice so good luck in your search and remember this is Commervanfan not Commervanowner so please join in, if you feel the urge :I, and let us know how you are getting on.
