Hello, haven't been on here for ages, been busy restoring an 84 freight rover Sherpa, now i have got it running perfect and the body work complete im looking for a new project, not to mention we now have a new family member to accommodate! 
Im looking to buy a coach built conversion, anything really that big enough to accommodate a separate toilet compartment (getting to old to be walking across camp sites in the middle of the night!) Ive obviously looked at just buying a LWB transit or something but i really want something with a bit of character.
What are my options for engine upgrades that could accommodate an automatic transmission. Does anyone know if there is a bolt on transfer box and transmission that will do the trick? or are there any modern engines that i could do a straight swap with?
