Finally got com,mer rolling again and drove it for the first time , next on the go is diff swap

L300 Mitsubishi diff swap , similar width , Ford pcd and easy toget parts in Australia

Spindle thread had tobe shortend to fit normal grease cap , Ford hub used with machined ring to match disc id , plus custom caliper bracket

Long winter break from working on my com,mer but finally fitted Mitsubishi l300 diff properly , with Toyota Hilux / commer hybrid leaf pack , mini shocks should fit nicely also . Also refurbished original radiator , put new gaskets prints etc in stock carb got running pretty good ( very very rich at idle tho )

Fitted more suitable tyre size to match the 4.1 ratio diff , also to try make wheel removal easier …… it didn’t , so still have to drop rear shackle .

First proper test drive since owning van , has all gears , actually rides pretty good , very happy and can’t wait to really get into fixing it for road worthy . Disc brakes stop good , gotta sort carby issues still tho , have found Weber 34ich local to me in Aus , hoping someone can help me with jetting specs once I get it . Going off other threads this is a closely kept secret unless buying new from uk
