Hi,

No 4 has arrived. I bought it for $300, and had to wait for months to get transport to bring it home on a truck. It has been started for a few years, but used to run. Its an Auto camper in Melbourne, Australia. Am hoping to play with it in december, am just to busy now.

I have 4 of these now and not one is actually running... but the possibilities..

Congratulations !!

At least you´ve got some nice and warm weather in your part of the world - unlike us here (far up) in the northern hemisphere.

Are those rear parking sensors beside the rear number plate? :D;)

This is one of a kind, the only van with this feature, i mean rare. The parking sensors also have an in-built camera, valve powered of course, with a stunning 3 inch round B&W display.
 
can we have pic's of roof up ?inside & out please :pThe peak looks bigger than normal or is it just me?

hmmm... if it makes you better he had to wait 3 months before i picked it...oh wait that wont help. lol.


BTW: I found a commer TS3 engine in very good condition, but it does not have a drive line. Does anybody know if a drive line (clutch, bellhousing, trans..etc) from another model will fit the TS3 ?

Its a 215ci 135HP model. Would be interesting to slot it into one of the commer vans. Van No 3 has a great body but no motor of box.

Maybe i wont need a gearbox !

I cant open the roof, i am working off site unfortunately. As you can impagine i cant wait to get back and try to start it up, AND open the roof.
 
Dear fellow Aussie Commer fans,

I have been contacted by a gentleman that is selling 5 Commers for $800, all complete bodies without engines. I believe 3 of them are in good shape with minimal rust, with one of the others being a Microbus (?) whatever that is. If any of you are interested, I am going to check them out this week and take some photos, if you need specific bits (or whole bodies) then email me. We need to act quickly as they are about to be bulldozed into a large hole in the ground... Sorry about hijacking your thread phantomrose!

i like your thinking martin. how many is a containers worth? shifting them would be a pain though.

I have a spare engine or two if thats any help;)

I would imagine it depends on the size of the cargo containers you can fit them in :D

1) See if you have somewhere to store them, happy to buy the lot.

2) We can take them apart, then i can use my china outfit to make copy them and make new pannels.

Perhaps a complete new commer, with modern drivetrains and sell them to the 1.3B chinese ! hahahaha..

Am serious about 1) and 2)

The guy i bough my TS3 from has another one, he might part with it in 2009. The bigges prob with putting one in a Commer is where to put the radiator so it will get enough Air.

:pInterested Interested Yeah I'm Interested micro bus sounds cool but a straight van would be nice, but family would fit bus ,but van would fit more parts:):DO.K w/end come on Photos Photos :p
