I first went to this yard in May 2004 and its was full with about 50-60 vintage trucks and vans. Amongst that were around 10-12 Commers of various types.
I have a lot of pics from then and when I re-visited in late 2007 and it is such a shame to see what the elements have done to all the vehicles.

I managed to save 2 Commer lorries, one of which I am doing up now and the other I sold on into preservation.
When I first went to the yard I'd say about 80% of the vehicles were worth saving but when I last went there I'd say only about 20%. It is such a shame, although I do know of a few which have been saved.
On a similar note there is a yard just opposite us where there used to be a block works, they never scrapped a lorry so all of the trucks are still lying around the yard. I struck a deal once to buy a Perkins engined Commer lorry but when I went to hand ove the cash the owner said it was too much hassle and would rather leave it. I expect that ones too far gone to save now aswel
