Alloy head manifold studs

Hello all. When I rebuilt the alpine engine I fitted stainless studs for the inlet and exhaust manifolds but they were just made from stainless studding and on reflection this was a mistake and I really want to replace them with proper studs. Can anyone advise if the studs for the ali and iron heads are different? I haven't removed the manifolds yet to check sizes I need but imagine they aren't all the same size? Anyone know details of what I need - studs, sizes, brass nuts?
 
Speedy Spares list two sizes of stud for the Rapier and Sceptre engines - 3/8" UNF for early engines and 5/16" for late, but only 3/8" UNF for the Commer - and they list brass nuts for both. Not sure if the thread on the head end of the stud is UNC though so probably worth getting them from Speedies or ask Martin if he has any.
