Just two quick questions

I think I need to either replace or refurbish my Brake master cylinder (I saw the MOT man looking at it and sniffing the grime on his fingers), no advisory but there is the possibility of some of it leaking very slightly (the reservoir is still topped up). Looked on Speedies they do £4.50 service kit or a new cylinder for £60. Am I wasting my money on the refurb kit?[?]
Second, I have put a K&N filter on (a couple of years ago) but have an issue of securing the original'air box' (not sure what it is) to the weber carb. Originally it just had a direct very narrow flat top air filter direct on the carb inlet (which made it sound like ti was having an asthma attack all the time). I have tried spacing out around the air intake of the carb (with a rubber gasket) so the openign on the 'air box' is as tight as I can get it really but even clamping it up tight with teh clip it still eventually works a bit loose and the weight of the air filter pulls it down. Wouldn't be an issue but when it doe it then snags the throttle cable and jams it on. I phoned speedies as they do the weber carb but they said they have nothing int he kit to deal with teh diameter issue between the carb and the air box. Any ideas ont he best solution, what have other people done? (p.s full throttle stuck on is not fun but we survived)
