Hi John, whats the possibility of starting up the commervanfan website? Whats involved and who is the name registered to?

My original plan was for the website to track my van's progress and adventures and fo rthe forum to be the useful resource; but if you have any suggestions about information we should put up there?

I would be interested to see whether we would be allowed to scan the manual and have it online for example?

It's my domain and my webspace; the question is what we would want to do with it exactly?

I think it would be really good to set it up as a full website, with pics our vans, events etc etc.
I would be happy to volunteer if you havn,t got the time.

I have some time I would like to hear some structures to it then I can go do it?

Dohh now I understand the 'Site Being MOT'd thing (how thick am I):I. As with most things I'm no expert (I know nothing) but most club sites seem to follow a similar theme of - Home Page, contacts, events, gallery, for sale, links etc. It seems that we have just about everything here already, is there such a thing as a website template as somewhere to start and then populate the various sections with what is already available in the forum, or am I being thick again [:0]

I think the idea would be to keep the forum as it is, a link from the main site for members to chat away as we do now. We can still be fwends :I

OK I will treat it like a "club site" where the "members" i.e. frequenters of the forum can show off their vans!

Sounds good to me, I didn't intend getting rid of the forum, only having something more open for casual visitors to look at[8D]
