Thought I would post my old project that I swapped for my Commer two years ago. I bought it from eBay as a rolling project.
It was a lada niva 1600 petrol permanent 4x4, this was pretty much how it looked minus the brown bonnet.
Started on the paint and roof rack, I was going for a desert rat look.
Somebody had welded in new arches over the bodywork...nice
Started to look how I wanted it
Now became my daily driver, surprisingly very reliable, heated rear window screen not needed, for those of us who remember the old lada jokes.
How I like to remember the old girl just before I part exchanged her for my Commer( plus cash 
New beginnings, I wish I could have kept both but space and finances wouldn't allow, my van makes more sense and has become part of the family like many of you can relate to, but like an old girlfriend sometimes you just remember and have a little smile to yourself.
