2 colour paint line

So not exactly a mechanical question but I am wondering why some paint lines are just below the windows and on others it’s down along the crease. Is it an age thing or personal choice?? Any advice greatly appreciated

I think it depended on the converter. Auto-Sleeper seemed to prefer the break on the swage line while The Wanderer had the break just under the windows - I prefer the higher line personally.

Cool thanks for that. I have got to make a decision soon and I think I prefer higher line on dark colours

My painter said the lower line is harder work than the higher

Was the high paint line to copy the vw bay window or was the Commer first?

Yer high line looks much better but I’m bias. I black pin stripped the join on mine to improve it - looks good and worked well

Copy VW - wash your mouth out
Nah just a natural line to follow. I've seen it on very early vans - from new.
