So an update to this, I've ordered a Davies Craig pump and management system as well as an escort rad and electronic fan! So I will have to sort out the waterpump issue, I can weld so thats an option, closing up the spindle hole on the current pump housing with all the gubbins removed.

Hmm it sounds like I should go all in on this then, pump, fan, rad and see how that goes, then maybe a bike rad too if that’s not getting results. I need to poke about but I think my van has a valve in the cabin rather than the engine bay. Suspect some past modding has been done.

This might sound daft but with the water pump delete in favour of an electric one, what do you replace the mechanical pump with on the engine, some sort of blanking plate? Thanks again for all this info.

Not sure about adding power much, although it is something the engine no longer has to turn. I’m hoping for some noise reduction!

So if anyone else has this issue, Speedy Spares has barrels+keys for hinged doors, for sliding doors the lock assembly and barrels and keys and also the rear door handle with barrels and keys. This isn’t on their website so worth ringing/emailing.

Alas Martin only has a rear lock, at the moment a local lock firm are trying to make an impression from my current locks but in case that doesn’t work I was wondering about alternatives. I have bought some other stuff from speedy spares, they didn’t list a lock but I could drop them an email.
