I like how the Davies Craig bits all come with inline fuses as well. Ive man aged to route cables down to the battery which a previous owner put in a box under the front passenger floor. The little gap between the front skin of the van and the floor was handy for threading cables through as well.

I did wonder about that, apologies for the daft question but is is a question of just adding the green Davies Craig connector to one of the spare terminals on the fuse box with a spade connector?

So amazingly I’ve only got to the stage of wiring in my Davies Craig kit. Much time was lost trying to get my old crap welder to work, in the end it died and I bought a nice new migatronic unit, a dream to use. So the old water pump housing is all nicely welded up and all the bits are going on...

So I’m a twist of fate on this in a parts haul I have 3/4 different speedo cable gears, NOS, of different teeth. One must be the right one.
