Sods law !! Murphy's Law !! whatever !! Fitted a new High torque starter ! Fuel pump not feeding fuel so 1/ took to bits , decided the diaphragm was OK but maybe new one will help ! Yes , was going to try that BUT have taken the pump out and ordered a new replacement pump . So would mean attaching the old pump just to try !! but have other things to do so will wait for the new pump , thanks , Ken

Thanks for reply , I did blow through the supply pipe and heard bubbles from the tank . No filter . I did try hand over carb . Will have another go today . Would like to try another pump so it will either work or eliminate the pump . The joy of old vehicles , never a dull moment :) Thanks , Ken

Hello , just going through the fitting instructions , did you fit the ''cold start lead'' ? or insulate it . Is it a good idea to fit it or ignore it at first ? also does the main battery wire to the new starter go via the original solenoid ? as with the old starter ? Hoping to do this week !
