    have attacked outer skin where roof gutter continues down by the window,have cut off level with edge of window pillar thus revealing some nasty pitted material underneath. have got some fresh metal left which i had folded for roof gutter-just needs folding a touch more due to concave of window...

    does your battery sit directly on metal? and is your vehicle inside or outside-if sitting direct on cold metal this wont help you much,sit it on a nice thick bit of rubber if this is the case. you could do with charging it and giving it a drop test(NOT ON THE FLOOR TE-HE).

    as my front inner sills are virtually non existent-does anyone have drawings or measurements as i would like to make my own due to funds being low. dont worry woolfy not trying to start a buisness doing panels-peace & love & all that.

    that foam is not cheap and would probably cause an issue with sender unit anyway,the zig zag method sounds like a good idea though.

    forgot about tank sender(that would be more down the racing vein-perhaps baffle after sender then foam it- a bit too much being as the commers are not going to be doing too much racing!! ha ha.

    hi, just wondered if you had thought of baffling youre tanks different-ie use a piece of sheet alloy cut to correct internal size of tank and then just nip the corners off-or is this way not possible with the tank gubbins and stuff?(looked at pics on page 3).

    cant find my trumpet at the moment-but yes not too bad with a mig welder(using father in-laws at mo(clarke turbo 150,middle of row. changed the 1.0mm wire for 0.6mm(this should make things better/ not trying to build a sherman tank ha ha.

    very interesting stuff-am tempted with patching the old girl up as funds are tight at moment, luckily i work for a small motorsport product manufacturer(so have quite alot material at my disposal and some very experienced old boys). will keep on digging to see how far the damage goes-still have...
