    '71 Tourstar on CarandClassic

I remember Pootle from way back, it looks stunning in the advert - if it's a good as it looks, the price seems quite fair. Love it :p

    HiTor no.1

From the TorCars group on Facebook ; "The first Commer HiTor (H1), was itself converted from a Commer SunTor. It took five days from arriving at Torcars, in September 1973, to become a SunTor, it was then in October given a roof lift, to be a HiTor, to be exhibited at the Motor Show in...

We've come a long, long way together

I used Arbomast Autograde mastic as it's designed for this purpose. I know others have recommended Tiger Seal but its product sheet actually states not to use it for windscreen sealant. http://www.arbo.co.uk/arbo-sealants/arbomast-autograde/

We've come a long, long way together

Hoorah, it's finally in    Just some minor rubber adjustment and a big mastic clean up to complete ! A couple of hairy moments but otherwise mostly sticky ones !! Fairly straightforward using the classic 'rope method' - I used plastic coated steel core washing line which was...

    Dashboard for 1975 PB

I'm looking for a decent example of the PB black square instrument housing - without any extra holes or other damage. I've already got a very good set of gauges and switches irrelevant, so I'm not requiring these. Does anybody have one they're willing to sell ? (I've asked Martin but he's not...

    SunTor Major and TorCars factory

A lovely montage of the Commer SunTor Major with a shot of work in progress at the TorCars factory. This conversion is the pop-top companion of my HiTor conversion. "This is day 68, and we have the second motorcaravan to carry the SunTor name. Built by Torcars, it was introduced in November...

Awesome Panky, you're a star !! Your pics show the cap/lid removed too - do I need to do this too for refill and draining (and is new gasket needed) ?

We've come a long, long way together

From the dusty depths of my loft, I've found a long lost tub of my Commer goodies  Including these NOS Armstrong units, I can't see in the parts manual whether these are the correct items but will crawl under my van at the weekend to compare. If confirmed then I understand that it's...

We've come a long, long way together

My recent finds came up a treat from their initial hot soapy wash today, both in really good condition but a little more TLC will be really worthwhile. I will be going tan initially and then maybe VinylKote to a vintage red (once I decide on my donor main seats)
