    Back of the garage

Wow - big job! Did the front of mine a couple of years ago and went with cellulose as thought that was what was on the rest, should’ve gone two pack really and a bugger to keep shiny. Will redo it again next year.

    Speedo reading

Bit of a mine field - mines way out so I used a Dyno to stick new ones on :) You can get speedos re-calibrated for a reasonable price which might be easier

    Radiators

I’ve done the scoop and the bike rad mod - difference is I’ve mounted the rad on the front under the bumper, bit Max Max :) I plumbed it out and back into the system before the heater control valve (which is just before the heater matrix) so can keep the heater off in Summer. Saying that I’ve...

    Radiators

I use the Davis Craig same as Panky, works very well. I wouldn’t scrimp on these things so buy quality even if they’re a £100 or so more. Ally rads - I think the escort (mk1?) fits and there’s loads at good prices on ebay (just check the pipe exits). You’ll need to move the rad forward a bit...

Am I mad for thinking about this?

Annoying for you. Best think about what you want the van for, if it’s fairly regular camping trips away going quite far or more local stuff/car shows. Only my opinion and If it’s the former and you’d like a classic I’d probably recommend getting the next generation of vans that came along in the...

Am I mad for thinking about this?

Yep move on, not meant to be. Go for one you can see and in the best condition you can afford, truth is when it comes to bodywork you can easily throw thousands also these vans and as much as I love em many can require regular maintenance and a bit of knowledge unless you have a good local...
