I've just read your entire thread, Chris. A very interesting read ! As you may know, I bought a replacement for our old '96 Cinquecento Sporting (which was broken into and immobiliser system destroyed) a couple of years back - from Hannover (Germany). A very interesting project in itself :)...

I remember seeing this camper on some Dutch Commer webpage about 10 years ago or so, and I remember that front bumper well, putting it that way. I should think this has been turned into a food van more recently. Looks awful. :confused:

Well, I'd love to see this bird fly again someday. Fly might be an exaggeration thinking about it, so let's say crawl again ;) It will have the first 1.5 litre engine this, so even a 1930s policeman's push bike will be faster... :D

I don't agree. 400 quid for this unique piece of history is absolutely acceptable. It is a drop in the ocean when it comes to renovation costs anyway, as this will cost a fortune to bring back to its former glory anyway.

Sounds like it may be saved then ! :) I paid similar money for my first Highwayman back in 2005. It was in better nick, but not by a great margin.
