    Autumn gathering anywhere???

Bump. I'm ready for a bit of autumnal camping :) Will be in a tent, but you Baz is well used to that anyway .. :p So bring it on ! :) I'll bring some horrible Norwegian beer too if you want :D

    Back of the garage

Mine's got nothing of the sort. Single circuit drum brakes all round, no servo. No nothing, in fact. Just a crude little cutie of a Mini Morris panel van. :)

We've come a long, long way together

Thanks for your clarification, Paul. I do understand your decision with that background. Still, would be interesting to see if someone would use the high top on a van. It's the weirdest and coolest hard top around in my view. And what regards the rear end, its just another member of the clan :D...

We've come a long, long way together

Out of interest, Paul, why are you actually ditching the unique roof you already have (had) on your van. Surely, it was the only remaining Hi-Tor with the "perplexing" perplex roof lights in the rear. I would have thought that keeping this would have been the thing. Was it the overall height...

YOU make me smile, Baz. Every time :)

Crossply tyres (yes..) - but which type to go for?

Norwegian motorways, do they exist? I hadn't noticed.. :D This country is all about hills and sharp bends, and motorways is a foreign word. More or less. Thanks for you comment. Think you're right about the "bounciness". Reminded me of driving (bouncing!) along the bumpy roads on...

Crossply tyres (yes..) - but which type to go for?

Cheers, John. I had a look, and did indeed find the "crossply lookalikes", but unfortunately just in the larger 6.70 - 15 size. And a whopping price difference over the original item. Not sure I can afforde them, even. But thanks a lot anyway. Just goes to show that there are always more...

Crossply tyres (yes..) - but which type to go for?

Thanks Panky. Yes, it takes a mad person to know one.. ;) To be honest, I've tried to find crossply "lookalikes", but failed. Nobody seem to do these in the required size, hence I'm left with the original. But if you know of places to check, I'll be very interested to know. For your info...

Crossply tyres (yes..) - but which type to go for?

Hello everyone, I'm just going wait for a minute or two until the intense and dry laughter has silenced at the back of the room... Thankyou, gents. Yes, I have decided to go the reverse route, and get crossply tyres fitted to the Highwayman. I know most of you will try to knock some sense...

    Gathering in Constable Country

Panky, you just said it, and I was thinking the same. This looks to have been a meet which will be a reference point from now on (and one we should have been to, Panky..). Trevor, you really pulled the stops out and created a very memorable meet, by all accounts. Now, will you be a darling...

    Gathering in Constable Country

Thanks for that. I was meant to come over with our two small(ish) children (wife away on concert engangements), but due to health concerns we agreed not to in the end. Will definitely join you all in the not too distant future. The kids have been at it all weekend, and we had to go through...

    Gathering in Constable Country

What a fantastic report from what looks to have been a fabulous Commer gathering ! Thanks a lot for text and photos, Seven. I couldn't imagine better locations than Manningtree and Flatford mill for the round trip. And your photos from the latter in particular are absolutely wonderful. Could...

    Gathering in Constable Country

Hi Trev. I'm afraid we won't make it A great shame, as it would have been perfect - and lovely to see everyone. Basically, my wife (who is working that weekend, which I knew all along) is not keen on letting me take the kids abroad on my own due to my slightly unpredictable health at the...

    Introduce myself and the van.

Nice van/minibus (noe turned camper) ! :) Very early example, and looks good. Interesting roof conversion, and particularly the single rear door with the height of it and its position. Very original indeed! Good luck with your project.

Looks really strange when they drive past the Swiss Centre and continue straight through Leicester Square !
