    Rear light assembly

MOT due soon and just knocked off a Amber lens from rear light assembly. Part is Lucas L572 for the assembly as 1966 van. No easy spare available (£50 on eBay for whole assembly). Lens is intact I think it must have been glued on as there was only one stud holding lens on as far as I can see...

    Bleeding brakes

When I had a leaking master cylinder I tried both kits from speedies and neither had the right bits for the cylinder on my van. Maybe the cylinder is not a standard one so the service kit is wrong? I got a new cylinder off Martin in the end and all worked fine. Hope you sought it out.

    Help needed.

Could be the common snakeskin or fuel evaporation but while running less likely to be evaporation. When we had intermittent cutting out it was an ht lead shorting on the rocker cover so maybe check those (in the dark). I think sometimes the coil can fault when engine bay hot. I am sure...

Clucth wont disengage and wont go into any gear!

If it wont go into gear with the engine off presumably it has to be a linkage problem or problem with the gearbox itself on my limited knowledge. You should be able to select gears with the engine off. The idea is to put it in gear with the engine off then bump it with the starter motor (i.e...

Clucth wont disengage and wont go into any gear!

If it is a stuck clutch plate/flywheel I can second Pankys proposed method although I have had more luck the two times it happened to me with putting it in reverse (I presume there is a very good reasons why you use 1st but mine just wouldn't free......)

    Jump leads.

I've jumped mine from the leisure battery before if that still has good charge you could try that (although I am sure someone will explain why you shouldn't[:0]). You might find cold weather means your battery loses charge quicker. I always disconnect the battery when I park it up at home as I...
