Don’t suppose you know where I can get valve seals from?

Plan is to really clean it all up Monday then assess what’s wrong. Hopefully like you say it’s ok, if I need to get some valves it’s not the end of the world

The nuts out! Nothing looks bent but will be testing the valve seals on Monday when I’m back working on her.

I’ve got all that off already! Making pretty good progress just trying to find an old money spanner to fit the other sides head nuts, I’ve loosened the manifold side ones without snapping so fingers crossed it comes off ok! Will update you more come close of play!

Feels like it has so much torque, gets to 40 so easily which is perfect for the use case

Shes driving much better, pulls all the way to 50 fine and sits at 50 fine, didnt want to push her any further really as thats more than enough for what I will need her for ! what a machine

Cleaned the carb and fit the new spring and needle. Ran out of time but tomorrow I’ll be heading to ge some fuel and then taking her for a spin to see the change!

Finally fitted the gas door yesterday ! So now I’ve just got to build the box for the gas to live which is sealed away from the rear work area. Then she’ll be basically ready for her new bodywork and paint ✅

Yeah sorry that’s me typing like a prat, I spoke with AC Dodd and he advised the BDL and yellow spring so in it all goes and with a bit of luck it’ll drive better. Was fine until the lower gears but once I hit 40 it was desperate for fuel
