I know! I've now got to plumb it in. It's going in the rear line (easier) so it will hold the rear brakes off rather than hold front on. Makes for a more interesting burn out at the strip. Still got to move the bias valve though.

Well after numerous hours of fiddling and research its built into the housing now. Backlash has been set to the lower half of tolerance.

Successful evening. The axle tube is back in the van, the old diff is stripped for what I need to swop over for the new one. The adaptor plate and shims have been test fitted.. The old diff has gone into the "Munro" box (offerings to the god of speed)... it's pretty full now......

Just cleaning everything up ready. I've ordered the LSD, bearings, shims, adaptor plate, lockwire and some stainless hardware.. Angus wanted to help

As I suspected. The idler gears are siezed solid, lots of glitter in the oil but the bearings look like new so I've flushed the pinion bearings out. Time to get ordering stuff...

That took some doing. The aluminium foil joining tape is a right bugger to use though

This is woven fibreglass sheet with aluminium foil stitched to it.

Well I finally managed to find the correct fibreglass insulation. Time to start getting it on. I made templates before I skinned it. Still fiddly though
