    Commer Van Grills and Rubbers

If Martin doesn't have the surrounds, I've a grill and surround set available but sadly not the pair of corners. The only surround corners that I have for my van are pitted but they're on my list to try to make some new ones in polished stainless steel at some point.

We've come a long, long way together

Yep, the weight of the box of Silent Coat tipped my van over  For some reason, however I edited the pics CVF always loaded them upside down.

We've come a long, long way together

A tedious but satisfying couple of hours, removing the peeling and warped fibrous older sound deadening. Just the adhesive residue to clear now and then on goes my new Silent Coat panels, then the Dodocoat insulation. Well onto a fifth of the rear panels so far !

    Back of the garage

I've got a clutch thrust release with roller bearing from an MGB which I've been advised fits with only a minor modification. I've yet to fit it myself but it comes highly recommended. Part no. GRB106B and available from most MG specialists, I paid £25 inc. p&p.

    Commer front grill

I've often wondered whether the top grill could be scanned and then 3D printing and then plastic chromed like modern 'chrome' accessories. It's on my list for 2020 ...

    Commer front grill

Hi Bubble, I've got a lower grill with the surrounds (but sadly not the two corners) that I'm willing to sell. These were always polished aluminium rather than chrome - I'll post some pics later today. The top grill however was either chromed or just painted. I will look if I still have a...

    What Colour is this?

But as SoupDragon said, getting a match to the current aged paint is the best option. My local autopaint shops have limited pigments left for cellulose mixing, due to the move to 2 pack paints - whereas AutoPaint St Helens came up trumps for me with aerosol 400ml cans (before I went for a colour...

Just thought, your colour doesn't look a million miles away from this van but I forget who now owns this one to suggest asking what their colour is

    What Colour is this?

I've found these folks really helpful - they have access to the original Rootes 'recipes' and have a colour analyser service too (but you'd need to send them a suitable sample) https://www.auto-paint.co.uk/ Yours might not be an original Commer colour but quite possible as DVLA does have it...
