SOLD Need to raise some cash!

Very sorry to hear that, Russell. These are hard times, and we feel the effect of this too and trying to pull trough. But it is a tough one. Wishing you all the best and hope you find the right buyer for this pretty unique Maidstone.

    Wanted- Camper

This one is currently listed on Ebay. Nice early-ish van, but not mint - and some work to do on the inside at least. A bit pricey for the condition, I think. But a complete van with a highly unusual top, so might be worth discussing the price with the seller? :)...

I love the Fiat parked in front of the massive American one. They look like they're from two different planets :D

Searching for a left hand drive Commer

Brilliant! Britain can afford to lose a Commer. Now the Netherlands can add one more Commer to its population of... eh... a tiny handful. Congratulations :)

Searching for a left hand drive Commer

Congratulations! I've seen this van offered every now and then, so I think it has changed hands a few times during the last 10 years or so. But a fine machine it is! Originally a Canadian camper, I think, and imported to the UK quite a while back. Still looks the part, it really does ! :p

    Hungary here we come

We've had visitors from Belgium, you know :D They've been to Commerfest at least once. Here's the back of their camper: And here's their colourful campervan (the white Highwayman):

    Commerfest 2020

Great to hear from you again, Mike ! Been a long time. Yes, we too are planning to attend the Commerfest next year - hopefully with our own Bluebird this time 'round. Unfortunately, we've just found out that Ebba (my wife) will be doing a tour in Canada just about that time, so it seems to be...

    Long live Tilly bean!

Congratulations! As mentioned earlier today (on FB - sorry Panky), it is very good having the interior out so that you're able to assess the structure properly. As you will know, these are notorious for leaks. Having all this exposed makes it so much easier getting it all sorted before you...

    Hungary here we come

Just read your full report. What an amazing adventure! So pleased that you got to see all your siblings, Bernie. That in itself is an amazing story, and definitely one which will stand out in your family album (if it still exists in this digital age...). A great read, and some amazing...

Absolutely stunning! Did you get somebody to drive the Riley down to Bristol?

    Anyone know this van

I'm sure I've seen it on photos many years ago, but can't remember when. The A-reg is slightly puzzling, though. Supposedly a 1963 model then, had the Commer badge been replaced by the Commer letters that early?

    Out and About

Beryl, of course. My mistake, sorry. Just checked the map, and it doesn't seem to be that extremely far from you anyway. But still a drive, obviously. Thanks for yet another fine travel report. Love to Sally.

How did you get the Karrier up there, Colin? Did you stick Pootle on the back of it? :D

    Commerfest 2020

So true, Chris. The Kristiansand - Newcastle or Bergen/Stavanger - Newcastle routes are sorely missed. Evje to Harwich puzzled me a bit, though. As Evje is some way inland north of Kristiansand... They've never even seen a fishing boat up there :D I gather you're thinking of the Esbjerg...
