I would imagine most Commer blocks are similar inside, the one i cut up was half blocked with silt. Crank mikes up within 1/2 thou, so just new shells.

Luckily the water pump is tip top, so we won't need that aluminium electric one.......

Things are now kicking off, P5 axle is stripped of it's lugs and awaiting fabrication of new ones. Had a rummage through the bits, and luckily i put labels on the heads to stop them getting mixed up..........

    Cylinder head ports.

Sectioned a cylinder head through the centrline of the ports, exhaust top, inlet bottom. Not too impressed with the exhaust, but the inlet has some good points. Still plenty of room for improvement with Mr Die grinder.

Finally got the engine oil leak free and running very nicely. Next job is to replace the brake master cylinder and move the servo somewhere cooler.

Chris's new new new new ride

An easily repairable dent in the front, and a couple of oil leaks to cure, but otherwise ok. Cruising speed is limited to under 70 due to cooling issues, it really needs a bespoke radiator making. The piston is from the C90, that didn't even finish it's first run ! The T500 set a new record...
