That's the hybrid halfshafts sorted, running nice & true too. Note the sleeve, added to strengthen the weld joint, i've seen these with square ends fully welded round, which is the worst possible way of doing it. These are fishtailed to give a greater linear length of weld and reduce the sudden...

Got the halfshafts ready to weld, but stuck until the rods turn up.

Doing something a bit different with Ermintrudes axle. Normal people take it off and convert something else to fit. me being me decided to keep the stock axle but convert it to take a Rover diff. Commer and Rover axles.

And finished the exhaust, yes i know it's a bit too restrictive...

Clearance between the engine lid and rocker cover looked a bit tight, so a little re-working of the filler spout was required.

The current state of surgery on Ermintrude. Peugeot 2.5 diesel with Lexus 6 speed being grafted in.

Ermintrude's been getting some lurve, Aluminium bronze gear knob, phosphour bronze dip switch cap, aluminium chequer plate on the pedals.

Converting the V8 from early remote float HS type SU's to later concentric HIF type, so i thought a couple of stub stacks would be a nice addition. Magnesium alloy.
