Thanks Paul, might take you up on that option if the current one fails.
I have an idea of how I can fit a 3 point belt rather than a harness, I already have the structural mounting points for the lap belts so just have the shoulder attachment to sort.
top photo is of the mounts that held own the old seats. middle photo is of the rear of the bench seat, it extends but has holes and is as though it should be bolted down.
I assuming the normal commer seats that clamp on the front of the wheel well have no other fittings to secure them?
Thanks for the advice Panky.
Couple of questions with pictures....
Are these original commer seat mounts?
Under the front bench seat, Should this be bolted down? There is a thread stuck up at the front but nothing for the back holes.
Am I missing a glove box? The was all hidden behind...
Still making progress....
But getting stressful now :-(
Front wheels to fit back on tonight after work.
Many things arriving in the post that I am having to purchase.
Rachael has started the curtains and is doing a great job.
After tonight I am going to book the MOT for next week. Just need to...
Mine is a piece of flat steel approx. 4" x 3/4", rounded at both ends and sandwiched between some hardwood that has been sanded round.
Was fitted to my van when I bought it.
I am sure I asked the same question years ago and they were never produced so your only option is to find something that...
I have a minor dilema..... too many kids.
I am fitting a 3/4 rock n roll bed which will suit two of the boys in the back of the van, for the younger I have thought about the possibility of fitting a racing harness in the cab between the driver and passenger using the existing mounting points...
Yokohamas 195/50's
Quite a drastic change of tyre size and ride height.
Picking up the material for the curtains tomorrow :-) hopefully make some progress on that front.
That's absolutely perfect Panky!!! thanks! exactly what I needed to know.
Hard wearing and durable is all I need for now. other priority items to address and fund first, I can chuck a rug in on a floor like that for now :-)
Thanks Panky, that looks like it may just do the job for me.
Going to grab a colour swatch today and see if I can get a code and maybe something mixed up.
What process did you use for painting on the Tekaloid as far as prep? did you clean and red oxide the floor?
Thanks!
2 wheels painted and lacquered and I am very pleased with the results.
Tyres arrived so will get the rear two fitted tomorrow and get the other 2 wheels sorted ready for tyre fitting on monday.
Planning a lock-in next weekend to try and get the paintwork tidied up.
funds are dwindling...
Great work on the van!
To solve the snakeskin issue I bought a coating kit from frosts to line ghe inside of the tank, after filling it with gravel, fluids, wrapping in a quilt and leaving it in a cement mixer for hours... Ah.... Memories :-)
