I'm learning everything!!! mostly that if you see 1/4 light rubbers anywhere, buy them straight away and not lose them like I did on ebay, feel like a melon!!

Will have to upload photo, it's a white fibre board bolted to the underside of the lid, look like horse hair matting above that.

What material is the heat shield board on the underside of engine over, looks like it could asbestos? what would you replace it with? thanks again.

Thoughts on Coach paint vs Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint Smooth vs RUST-OLEUM all advice welcome, not going to strip, I think, as too big a job unfortunately. Looking for advice for both exterior and cab interior, not sure if anyone has the original colour codes? Thanks

Lovely colour, kind of similar to what we'd like with the top cream or off white. Beautiful camper Panky, I've taken all the interior out and all panels and insulation. Really happy with the process so far, such lovely van, can't wait to get her out on the road.

Do you use coach paint and if so what brand do you find best? unsure if I strip fully or sand fill etc Panky

Any tips on stripping back paint, bead blasting or hand sand prior to new screws, trim, waterproofing etc, prime and paint in new colours.

Thanks again Panky, have taken the rotten section out, most of the hardwood framing is fine others absolutely shot, so will reframe this areas, need to seal the external areas where I see daylight, screw holes and thin gaps until painting. Looking better though.
