Meet Ted

The foam in Ted's front seats were knackered  So I ordered some foam pads off Ebay, I wasn't going to pay £40 each for them from the Morris specialist so I got two for half the price of one:)

The drivers seat frame had rusted through and my previous repair with a piece of tent pole was too weak and the frame twisted:rolleyes: So I found a piece of heavier tube that was just the right size

The foam was a bit passed it's best

And the webbing on the back rest was virtually non existent on the passenger side, no wonder Barb almost disappeared when she sat in the seat:oops:

The new Pirelli webbing has very little give in it and there was no way I was going to stretch it to fit by hand so I had a thunk and came up with this

A small hole drilled behind the clip and a heavy cable tie pulled through allowed me to lever the end of the strap enough to locate the ends of the clip in the frame

Once I figured the first one out it took minutes to do the rest

Cable ties snipped off and job done. The seats are really comfy now with their extra thick base pad:cool:

Looks superb. Cable ties can come in very useful. After a lot of swearing and skinned knuckles trying to attach some hog clips on a particularly inaccessible frame under my seats I reverted to cable ties which made the job much simpler. Lets see how long they last in use.
