Well after a lot of thought I have decided to sell the battlebus. It will be very sad but I only used it twice this year. I have a bike a little van and the camper. I’ve not ridden the bike for four years either. It’s been 15 years since I have had a vehicle that will do 70mph let alone in comfort so I’m going to get a people carrier so I can put my gardening stuff in and go camping and carry passengers etc etc.
I will advertise the battlebus properly in the spring but I would much rather sell it to one of you lot so he’s for sale now.
For any of you that don’t know there is quite a bit of information on my posts etc about the restoration work etc etc. Searching for R2 and battlebus will hopefully find it all.
If anyone is interested just let me know and you can have a look and I can provide any information etc etc. My motorcycle is also for sale, Husky KE511 supamoto with extra set of off-road wheels.IMG_3008.jpegIMG_3007.jpegIMG_3008.jpegIMG_3007.jpeg

Oh and at some point soonish I will need to sell my little Suzuki Carry too as my driveway won’t be big enough.
 
So sorry to hear this... You're such a supprter of this forum... Hope you find peace in (all three) decisions, and gey a suitable single vehicle for yourself...

Yes boring conformity. I thoroughly enjoy the forum and am planning to stay if allowed lol. I am a terrible owner of R2. Yes he is serviced every year and he spends a day in the garage getting a thorough inspection and greasing etc instead of a mot and restoration and upgrades. But I just don’t use him enough so it’s better to part ways sooner than in 5 years when work will need doing again. We all know the downside of not regularly using a vehicle.
Probably find that I can’t get on with a car with electric windows etc and will have to buy everything back lol.
 
I know lol. It’s actually made me quite upset posting him up for sale. Karma will prevail and it will either go to a good home or maybe after I’ve sold the bike and van and nobody is interested in him I’ll just have to keep him. That wouldn’t be too much of a hardship lol.

Not really but considering the lack of effort I’m putting in it’s hardly surprising lol. Probably put carry and bike on ebay and auction R2 on carandclassic.

I am sure u have put a lot of thought into selling it and as someone who has sold my beloved Betsy van , still cant look at pictures of it to this day and i sold it about 20yrs ago , at least I have the good memories , my kids grew up in it , travelled around southern Ireland twice. If I could turn back time I would of put one of my children up for adoption and kept the van only joking I would of left the wife and kept the kids and the van,
. but seriously keep the van and get rid of the wife only joking . Sorry I know it's a hard decision as they become like one of the family . It's a cracking van and whoever becomes the new owner will be a very lucky person . STILL NO EMOJIS
