Started a new thread for going forward with blue patience as she has got her identity back. Been a hard couple of days working out what to do with the engine, do I change it, rebuild it, swap it for something modern and so on we have now made our choice we I have since I have been home alone for a week with a bank card lol. Storey goes scrap the regrind and oversize shells as that would be the logical way to go, just placed a order for new crank, main and big end shells (snd size) full set of core plugs and the trust washer that was missing from the engine thank you whoever that was!!!. Full engine bay respray and engine painted, next couple of day will be with a die grinder with the head and manifold for a wee port out and polish then full rebuild before doing a full gasket set on the autobox for peace of mind, iv made a plan!!!! What could go wrong ooow right the money thing Laura will understand Screenshot_20230511_173434_com.ebay.mobile.jpg

Wee update I have got the engine stripped down to get steam cleaned at work tomorrow then a lick of paint before the full rebuild. Don't even know how this was running who can see what is missing in pic 2 IMG_20230514_161410.jpgIMG_20230514_144109.jpg

Hi does anyone know what this is for I have total mindblock with it think it's time to shut the garage door for the day lolIMG_20230521_183314.jpg

Panky I think you are right there is a dowl on the starter side and on the opposite side there is one hole bigger than the rest it goes in half way tight and looks like a washer and nut to hold it at gearbox side. Good work I have been demented with this thing any ho and anyway I am off work sat and Monday so fingers crossed he will be back on the road for work on Tuesday as he is booked in on Thursday for a belly rub and underseal emotional damage. Good new is my 4 and a half year old can now work the engine lift lol what could go wrong with cheap labour IMG_20230521_182537.jpg
