Mystery of the vanishing brake fluid

Hi All,

The Olympian seems to be losing brake fluid somewhere.
It is the PA model without servo.
There are no puddles of brake fluid on the floor but a couple of times
I have got in the van, rolled forward to the end of the drive and ooh err no brakes
(stop on handbrake as the pedal goes to the floor)
I top up the master cylinder and pump the pedal a few times and this brings them back
but there is clearly something wrong somewhere.

Any thoughts?

Check on the inside of the tyres to see if there's fluid dribbling down from a wheel cylinder, or take the wheels off and have a look inside the drums.

Update

front drivers side and back passenger side wheel cylinders are dribbling.
Think I'll fit new ones and shoes on all 4 corners :)

Good idea. It can be difficult to see a leak in wet weather as brake fluid will wash away with water.

Thanks Andrew. Just a case of shot seals. all sorted now and a full new set of brake shoes
Can't wait to get away somewhere :D

Locking strut that I made for the pop top to make it easier to put up

Looking good Henry, I'm pleased it's going well. I too am looking forward to going out in my new van in the summer. :)
